I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and moved to the United States at a young age, becoming Bilingual in Spanish and English. From a young age, I harbored a passion for a career that involved helping people. Today, I find immense fulfillment as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My choice of this profession is deeply rooted in personal life experiences.
Being a first-generation immigrant allowed me to gain insights into the challenges many of us face while adapting to a new culture. Additionally, at nine years old, my parents' divorce brought significant changes to our household dynamics. Role and responsibilities had to change, weekends spent at "my second home," and navigating the parental alienation from both parents.
These life experiences have given me a profound understanding of what it is like to grow up in a broken home, to have a blended family, and what it takes now to work each and every day to have a "happy and successful" marriage. I would love to have the privilege to work alongside you during this challenging time.
